This semester, the economy group is aiming to work with chapel hill's mayor to create a policy that will provide local small businesses with economic relief in the wake of Covid-19!

Currently, they are continuing their process of interviewing local businesses to learn how the pandemic has impacted them and the kinds of support that would benefit them the most.

Healthcare Group

Education Group

The education group is focusing on the issue of racial education gaps and bias in Chapel hill-Carrboro city schools.

Right now, the education group is exploring policy alternatives to inform a policy brief and reaching out to school board members and other relevant contacts!

They hope to craft a policy to implement required racial equity trainings for teachers and admin in CHCC elementary and middle schools.
